Auxiliaries

Aims and Objectives: The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys, and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.

GIRLS’ BRIGADE - female members of the Church aged 5—19

Aims and Objectives:

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP - Male members of the Church 18 years and over.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To promote the welfare of the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

2. To deepen the spiritual lives of its members and to inspire and stimulate them to Christian activities.

3. To train members and prospective members of the Fellowship for better service in the Church and community.

4. To encourage and assist in organizing branches of the Fellowship in the congregations of the Church.

5. To seek the co-operation of similar organizations in the Caribbean and other parts of the world.

6. To encourage the study of the Bible and have topical discussions based on the scriptures.

UCYPF - Young people of the Church aged 13 - 25 years.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To encourage young people to respond to the saving love of Jesus Christ and facilitate a continuing ministry

2. To create a United Christian Fellowship of young people within the Church.

3. To provide opportunities for young people to share their interests and problems, and to foster their spiritual, moral, cultural and physical growth.

4. To develop Christian leadership and to encourage young people to serve Christ in the Church and to be His witnesses in the community.

5. To promote spiritual renewal in the Church through the development of new and meaningful forms of worship.

UCYAAM - Young adults of the Church aged 21 - 39.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To form a fellowship of Young Adults with the United Church with common interests in the continued development of the Church and a common desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. To discover and enter into dialogue with Young Adults and to integrate them into the life of the Church, so that their special gifts and abilities may be available for the cause of Christ.

3. To provide on-going analysis of the principles of the Christian faith ascertaining their implications for contemporary events and situations.

4. To encourage the development of additional patterns of worship within the United Church .

WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP - all female members of a Church.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To unite the women of the Church in the dedication of their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ for the service and extension of His Kingdom.

2. To seek to widen the fellowship among all women in the congregation and the community.

3. To seek to empower the women for growth and service.
